Cooking Time: Low GI fried rice
Try low glycemic index egg fried rice, with Basmati ʀɪᴄᴇ
Ingredients List (Serves 2)
+ Overnight cooked Basmati ʀɪᴄᴇ 1 cup
+ Salt 1/4 tsp
+ Oil 3 tbsp
+ 2 Eggs
+ 2 Spring onions
+ Chopped Garlic 0.5 tbsp
+ Light soy sauce/fish sauce 1.5 tbsp
+ Black Pepper 0.5 tsp
1. Beat 2 eggs with 1/4 tsp of salt and black pepper.
2. In a wok, add 1.5 tbsp of oil, turn on heat and scramble egg mixture. In the same wok, add 1-1.5 tbsp oil and 0.5 tbsp chopped garlic.
3. Add Basmati ʀɪᴄᴇ, green onions and all the other ingredients into the wok. Stir well to ensure it is cooked evenly.
• Very important tip -- ensure that ʀɪᴄᴇ is rinsed thoroughly. This way, your ʀɪᴄᴇ will be less sticky which is better suited for cooking fried ʀɪᴄᴇ!
